The phytonutrient, resveratrol, found in red wine, that literally makes wine drinking a cancer-fighting measure. Resveratrol is present in the leaves, twigs and bark of the grape vines. Great Product by KPA from on 2010-06-27 Without going into too many boring specifics, overall I just feel better when I take this product. I am an adult going back to a tough college and I think the resveratrol helps me stay up later and concentrate better than before I started taking it. I am also a semi-serious athlete and I think it gives me more energy to run farther and faster than before. It's almost like my lungs are using the oxygen better or something.
I don't know if it did anything to curb my appetite because my workout schedule makes me ravenous sometimes and not have an appetite at all other times, so I have no baseline to compare to, unfortunately.
And one more thing - I work in pharmaceuticals and know from our studies that resveratrol is a safe supplement.
And of course there's no way to tell if I will live longer because of it, but I can hope!

I took a high quality Fish oil (Kirkland)20 minutes before taking the pill. I am only taking 1 tablet daily and I am 290lbs so according to their site I should be taking more. I have pretty much had diarrhea every time I have taken it. I have been taking my regimen of 1 multi 1 vit D 2000mg 2 calcium 3 Kirkland fish oils daily for 3 years with no effects. deceptive by GZ from on 2009-09-02 the packaging has changed but the "Source Naturals" "Resveratrol" I received has 159 mgs of Calcium, 10 mg of sodium, and only 20mg of Resveratrol. I feel this was deceptively advertised. If I wanted Calcium I would have bought a Calcium supplement. The Labeling should be Calcium (the main ingredient) not Resveratrol.

I only drink alcohol occasionally so I decided to take Resveratrol for the potential heart protective effects. I had read other reviews describing the increased energy and a few even mentioned weight loss, but I was skeptical about those claims and didn't expect those kinds of results. The first two months I took a different brand, but I was surprised to find that I did have more energy. It doesn't make me feel jittery or "wired", but I am definitely more energetic.Since changing to this Bioforte brand a couple of months ago, I not only have more energy, but I have lost over 10 pounds. It may not sound significant, but since I haven't changed my diet or anything about what and how I eat, I think it's remarkable. And there are no bad side effects that I have noticed. One thing I did notice, though, is that my digestion sped up. Nothing scary or unpleasant, just makes you very "regular".I highly recommend this brand and strength if you are taking Resveratrol or want to begin taking it.

The extra energy and alertness is a given. While others are yawning around you in the afternoon or evening you still have the energy to do some more stuff. Two things factored into my changing into this particular brand. Its organic and the trans-resveratrol content of 250 mg. I take only one a day and I feel its adequate. So one bottle gives me two months supply. That breaks down to 50 cents a day. Not bad. I'm over 50. As long as I can afford it I will keep on using it as a daily supplement. I dont drink any alcohol never did never will. I have resveratrol.

Disappointed by daidai from on 2010-06-27 I wanted to like this product. I really did. I heard about the health benefits of resveratrol all over the internet, so I ordered this from online since it seems to be a pretty reliable brand. The first time I took the pill, I took one pill in mid-morning with food each day. However, by the third day I woke up with a slight cough and sore throat. I stopped, and the next day my flu-like symptoms went away. I wanted to give this product the benefit of doubt, so I waited another month and tried again. Again, I felt like I was breathing like I was sick by the third morning of taking this pill. I stopped again and the symptoms went away. I tried it ONE MORE time in the past few days, and the same thing happened again. I don't know what is wrong, but maybe I have allergies to this pill? I don't think I experienced any of the appetite suppressing, metabolism boosting, and energy giving effects of the pill. Whatever the case may be, I was sorely disappointed by this product and will not order again.
Very Pleased With This Product! by M. Hur from on 2010-02-22 Conflicting reviews got me nervous, so I ordered the smaller quantity (60 Vcaps), and just finished the first bottle. I'm happy with it and ordering 120 Vcaps which is an even better deal. First, it's got a high dose of resveratrol (200mg) -- contrary to what detractors claim. Second, it's got no side effect other than the darker yellow urine. (I take it before I go to bed.) Third, it's improved my vision as I had hoped for. I have had vision problems due to glaucoma. My vision is sharper and clearer now. I now need less strong prescription for daily chores including driving. Yes, it does smell kinda funny, but not unbearable. Overall, I feel better, but I don't know whether it's attributable to this product or my regular exercise.

Seems okay, potency is fine... but the smell is awful! by J. M. I think it is a good product and I'm not sure where the person saying it is only 10 mg of trans-resveratrol is getting their info because that isn't anywhere on the bottle nor indicated from the process used to create the supplement, and I think that the research on resveratrol in mouse models is very promising and worth taking, BUT...This stuff smells AWFUL!!! I know it is made from the Japanese knotweed which is not the most aromatic plant, but other brands I've tried from the same source didn't smell like this. It often makes me gag to take it. I think I'll spend the extra money to try to get something that doesn't make me ill to take it next time.

After not noticing any difference in how I felt or how it worked, I called within the 15 day trial and sent them back the unused portion and they said, "Be assured that you will receive your money back within 10-15 business days. If you have not give us a call back." I did not. I called back and asked to speak to managers, the refund department (to no avail), anyone that could give me a different answer....and EVERY one of the representatives kept reading me the exact same phrase!!!
