Excellent Skin Cream For Combination Skin

I purchased this lotion to deal with a few skin issues I have been having. I have combination skin consisting of a very oily T-Zone area and forehead. This Lightweight lotion is perfect for combination skin. The lotion goes on very light and for me, it pretty much acts as a mattifier, minimizing all shine to the T-zone area. It also seems to smooth out my skin a bit.

By Far the Best Cleanser for My Oily, Sensitive Skin

My skin is oily all over and very sensitive. It breaks out badly when I use most cleansers, so it's very hard for me to find one that my skin likes. After trying *49* (so not kidding) other cleansers when L'Oreal stopped making the one that I was using, I finally found this one. I cringed using the other cleansers on my face because they irritated it so much. My skin went "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" with relief when I tried this. I love it!I looked up the ingredients and found out that the cleansing ingredient in it is for very sensitive skin, so I'm assuming that's why it doesn't bother me (it turns out that it's the same one as in the L'Oreal cleanser that I was using). And I love the fact that it doesn't foam since foam/lather irritates my skin. The aloe vera and seaweed make my skin feel soft. What a waste of money trying all those other cleansers. I wish I'd know about this one at the start. Better late than never, I guess.

Like it better than the old version

I do not have sensitive skin, so this cleanser works well for me. I had very oily skin/acne as a teenager and into my twenties. I am currently 41 and have normal skin that can tend to be a bit oily; the Zia products for "normal" skin work well for me. This cleanser feels better on my face than the older version felt (i.e. smoother and silkier). I highly recommend this product!

Disappointing change in a great product

Zia has long been a high-end line of natural products, and I have become a devotee in the past few years. I looked long and hard for a good paraben-free cleanser before I found the Zia Basics fresh cleansing gel with sea algae, and I absolutely loved it. Earlier this year, Zia changed their product line to remove parabens from all the products and base them all on aloe. I bought the new version and was disappointed to find several new chemical ingredients. When I used it on my face, it burned my skin. I have taken it back, and stocked up on the old formula through online suppliers. I hope Zia comes back around - but until then, I don't recommend this product, particularly if your skin is at all sensitive, or you like to avoid alcohols in your facial products like I do.

Natural AND Works Very Well

I bought the tiny travel-sized version of the bamboo exfoliants at Whole Foods and LOVED it. So I ordered the large one from Amazon. Needless to say, the delivery was smooth and the product was excellent. I had previously gone to several natural foods stores to get this but they had bottles on the shelf way past their expiration date. The one I got from Amazon was perfect.You can feel the exfoliant working when you start massaging it on your face. It's slightly tingly (not in a bad way) and my face definitely felt smoother after using it. Also, I have had less breakouts since using this product. I currently use it about 2 to 3 times a week. It also helps that Zia is a cruelty-free brand and the ingredients are natural and plant-based which makes it perfect for everyone as well as our planet!I will definitely use this exfoliant for a long long time :)

Rice Bran an Exfoliant?

That was my question when I offered to review Zia Bamboo Exfoliant with Rice Bran. I guess it is. I guess just about anything gritty could be, but I hadn't stopped to think about it.I'd tried several. The very expensive Creme de la Mer. It's costs as much per ounce as pure gold (well, practically!) and is very good, very fine. I tried Oil of Olay! The grit in that is less fine but also very good. I tried a few other brands in between those two.This Zia approximates the expensive stuff purchased at Neiman Marcus. It feels creamier than Olay. The scent is unobtrusive. It rinses off easily and it is comforting to know how natural it is. It is an excellent product. Yes, I'll buy it again. I like knowing that the products I use are safe for the environment and natural for my skin and I don't like paying more than I have to for them.One caveat. If you're used to using exfoliants with heavy crushed peach stones in them for the grit, you may find this texture too fine. Still, I think its worth a try. It may be that that sandpaper feel is not all that good for your skin anyway. Effective yet gentle on the skin. Works well alone or as a pre-treatment for micro-dermabrasion treatment. Only stays on skin for two minutes. Skin is left very smooth.

noticeable difference

I've noticed that the red marks left behind by blemishes are fading more quickly and my skin also breaks out less than before. I highly reccommend this for those of you who have "tried everything" like me.

Great natural sunscreen!

Saw this natural sunscreen on the EWG list as it was rated #1 and thought I would give it a try. And I must say that I am a happy customer. Most natural sunscreens I've tried are really greasy or don't rub in very well, plus they really don't smell all that great. Not the case here! I was very pleased as it has a nice light tangerine scent, feels great on my skin and rubs in very well. This is the best one I've tried so far and will recommend this sunscreen to all my friends.

I found this sunscreen on the EWG 2010 Sunscreen Report and thought I'd give it try since it got a 1 rating. It has a lovely tangerine citrus scent and it leaves a nice, silky feel on my skin. Best part is it's not greasy like most natural sunscreens. It starts out a little white, but soaks into my skin well after a few rubs. Finally, a natural sunscreen that doesn't leave me greasy and ghostly.
