I've been using Kirkland Signature Multi-Vitamins and Minerals for a number of years now. I've always been very satisfied with the products, even though it's a hard thing for an individual to test on any kind of scientific basis. I use them because my diet might not cover all essential ingredients and the vitamin/mineral tablet is a cheap insurance policy in that regard. Plus, Consumer Reports always has the Kirkland Signature brand ranked very high among those available and the cost is among the lowest. The tablets are a little large for swallowing, but I just break them in half with my fingers and the halves are no problem.Well, it was time to replace the multi-vitamin supply and this time I picked up the Mature Multi. I don't know that it will make much difference but I'm now 74 and definitely qualify for being a senior. Getting the Mature formulation makes sense.Gary Peterson

My parents gave me this huge jug of pills so i didn't have to pay for it. With all vitamins you can't really tell if they're working unless you the FDA will do a study to prove this (which they will never do because of funding for pharmacuticals). So since im taking these vitamins for mature 50+ they have more % daily value so better for the money, and the price looks cheaper from other products out there. These pills are pretty hard to swallow, but if you fill your mouth up completly with a glass of water before you try to swallow it makes it easier. And since its one pill a day... this bottle should last me hmmmm... 400 DAYS!!!! if thats not a sole reason to buy it, then i don't know what is.P.S. I lost 100 lbs by dieting, working out, and doing my research on health products. This is especially good for someone dieting and cutting down on calories. You will need the extra vitamins to make up for the lack of vitamins your body isn't recieving from food. Also east plenty of fruits that are lower on sugar, apples, bananas, strawberries (which are extremely high in vitamin C, and good for people that can't eat oranges because of the acidity), Oranges, Blueberries.Good Luck and Good Health

Too big to swallow

I had difficulty swallowing these pills. They should cut the size in half and recommend two of them instead. I now use Centrum silver, which are easy for me to swallow.

I started using these vitamins -- with Lutein -- several years ago, at the suggestion of my eye doctor. At the time, he warned me that my cataracts would require surgery a few years down the road but said the Preservision might stave off the time for awhile. Since then, the cataracts are about the same size as they were when I started the daily dose of vitamins. No one has said I'm out of the woods on this, but I feel they have given me some more time before a surgery is again mentioned. Often we wonder whether supplements do any good, but, in this case, I believe they live up to the expectations people have for them.

Nauseated Feeling

I have been taking these pills off and on. If I don't keep my stomach filled for a couple hours after I take them I get nauseated and it lasts at least half the day. Sometimes even if I keep eating I still feel bad, so I am not wanting to take them every day. I am sure they work great, but until I get the nauseous feeling under control, I am going to be in the dark as to how they will work with me. I had LASIK surgery a few years ago so I was hoping these pills would be good for my eyes.

They don't seem to disolve

I hate to be indelicate but something about the coating used on the ICaps keeps them from disolving in my stomach. They seem to go straight through untouched. I will have to try them in some kind of smoothie I guess. Unfortunately my blender is loaned out to an elderly parent with cancer. Once I get access to a blender I will try taking these again but for now it literally is money down the drain.

I have been using these vitamins for about two and a half months, and I love them, I have noticed a great difference in my vision and I just had an eye doctor appt last week and my eye doctor noticed great results as well, I have my husband on them also and he loves them. we are 44yrs old, but they are good for any age. Size is great but the smell is disgusting.

These vitamins are a wonderfully small size that can be easily swallowed by just about anyone, even by people who normally have great difficulty swallowing capsules. HOWEVER, the smell is so disgusting that it is impossible for me to put the capsules into my mouth without my gag reflexes taking over. The smell is very much like rancid dead fish. The smell is so strong that the odor is offensive to my nose even when the bottle is closed tightly. Before disposing of the closed bottle and all of its contents, I had to triple bag the bottle in three sandwich bags. IF you are sensitive to strong smells, these vitamins are not for you! It is unfortunate that they smell so horrible because the size of each capsule is a true blessing for a person with swallowing problems and the blend of vitamins and minerals is very desirable.

As a loyal customer of this product I wanted to take a minute to respond to the review by "RisingMoon". I feel the review was unfair and overly dramatic. The product definitely has a vitamin smell, I am not disagreeing with that, but so do all vitamins unless you are using a cheap drugstore vitamin that is full of chemical deodorizers to mask the natural odor vitamins have. I contacted the company that makes Daily Journey and they confirmed for me that there are no chemical deodorizers in this product. I keep mine in the fridge which really reduces the vitamin smell (I do this for my kids' chewable vitamins too-yes even chewable vitamins smell like vitamins if they are *real* vitamins!!). The company said they don't recommend it since the product is in a vegetarian capsule and it may cause cracking, but I do it anyway and have had no problems at all. I love Daily Journey- it's a great product, easy to swallow, easy to digest, and I will continue to use it. I hope they put out more products in this capsule size to add to my vitamin regimen.

Tiny - but you have to take THREE!!!

These multivitamin-mineral capsules are indeed small and easy to swallow, but a "daily serving" according to the package is THREE capsules. And the ingredient list on the container is based on a serving of three capsules; the amount in one single capsule would not compare to any of the once-a-day vitamin brands I have used or looked at - so you gotta take three, and that can get to be a problem. I only take vitamins with meals because they do tend to cause nausea, so mostly I end up taking two a day, since I usually have one meal that is either too busy, or I'm away from home, or I just don't feel up to taking ANY pills (like at breakfast). I suppose I could try taking two at one meal, and see if that causes nausea??? Also, there is no iron in these, so I take a separate iron caplet; this may not be an issue for most people, but for women who are having periods or anyone who has had a bleeding ulcer in the past, it's better to be on the safe side (and get your blood checked occasionally). I don't think I'll be buying these again, but I do find that the major brand vitamins that are only taken once a day are huge, and sometimes cause nausea for me even when I do take them with a meal - so I'm still looking for the perfect vitamin-mineral product...

Great pill size, but smells Awful

Just thought I would post this because I wish I had known this before purchasing the product. I ordered this product because its contents seem to be the most comprehensive among all the multivitamins and had small sized pills. While the size is in fact small and the content is listed as comprehensive, I never realized that these qualities meant I had to swallow something that smells god awful. Upon opening the box I was greeted with a terrible smell. I thought it was just the packaging and so I continued to open the bottle and to my most unpleasant surprise, the pills smelled worse. I haven't tried the product, so I cannot attest to the quality. However, the capsules look like a generic clear casing that was filled with a peppered yellow powder. I think I'm safer with the new VitaGummies from One a Day even though they are not nearly as comprehensive. I'm a firm believer that your pores exhude what you eat, and I can't imagine smelling like this! The choice is between comprehensive product and swalling something that doesn't smell or look so great. I leave the choice up to you!Hope this helps!

I have been using this product for several years now and you can really feel the difference in your energy and health. Just read the label and you can tell its excellent stuff. Start with one pill during a meal and work your way up to three a day. It is especially good to use when you are stressed out and tired.

Ultra Source of Life vitamins were recommended to me by a friend who has been taking them for a few years and says they help her have energy and feel good. She said she noticed a difference when she ran out and had to go without them. I have been taking for several months and they seem to be helping me feel more energetic. I recently noticed my fingernails are stronger. It seems like a good product because there are a lot of other things included besides vitamins like bee pollen, whole food extracts, lutein, algaes, etc. Also, even if I take them without much food, they don't upset my stomach like other supplements have. I guess my only caution would be the fact that I haven't done a whole lot of research into potential side effects of ALL the other ingredients. (There are so many!) But if you're looking for a good multi-vit, this is a good one to try out! (p.s. Buying on Amazon.com got me the same product for MUCH cheaper than the local health-food store.)

These vitamins are the best I have taken and I can see the results when I stop taking them (guilty of doing that) or don't take them consistantly. The price is also excellent for a whole food vitamin. Give them a try!
