Tecnu is an excellent product for controlling and preventing the spread of poison ivy, posoin oak and posion sumac. We have used it for about the last 4 years and keep it in stock year round. We usually buy the 32ounce size to stock and share with others. I would recommend Tecnu to anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, hiking and living in or visting the country.

As someone who is seriously allergic to poison ivy, and who operates a small Christmas Tree farm, Technu is an essential product to have. Poison Ivy seems to be increasing in its presence over time (one university study says that as atmospheric CO2 levels increase poison ivy becomes both more potent and grows much more rapidly) and despite my efforts to kill it, it's all around. Technu is something I wash with every day after outdoor work, and it either completely prevents infections, or reduces them dramatically. I've used it for years, and it's the only soap that has been this effective.

This stuff is a a life-saver for me. I am in the process of removing a stand of poison ivy in my backyard (non-chemically) and even with long sleeves, pants, gloves and great care, I still usually manage to get some urushiol on my skin. What amazes me is that even if I miss a spot with the Tecnu and a rash develops, Tecnu will relieve the itch completely and will greatly reduce the severity and duration of the rash. For me, the usual sequence without treatment is: tiny itchy bumps followed by large, intensely itchy welts which blow up into fluid-filled blisters, and then days of oozing and, of course, more itching. (This whole process can go on for weeks, which is miserable and disgusting, as well.) Tecnu prevents it from progressing from the tiny bumps to the welts, and lets it heal within days instead of weeks. The only caveat I would add is that I have to reapply it repeatedly throughout the day, for several days, as soon as any trace of itch recurs. (Apply liberally, rub in for 2 minutes--but don't break the skin--then rinse thoroughly with cool water.) For me, that is a small inconvenience for relieving weeks of misery. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I (50 years old) and my daughter (25 years old) hiked the 100 mile river to river trail in southern illinois. We literally waded through poison ivy in many places and sleeping in a tent each night had no chance for a thorough shower or change of clothes. However by putting on technu liberally every morning and evening we got no poison ivy rash anywhere. We are both extremely sensitive so we were aboslutely amazed to say the least and now are totally sold on technu. Before we had used it with great success to treat poison ivy rash of various severity but had not realized it could prevent the rash also.

Proactive preventative maintenance

I am alergic to poisin ivy, and get horrible reactions when infected. A few years ago, I started scrubbing down with Tecnu from head to toe in the shower after working in the woods behind my house, where there is tons of poison ivy. I also use the cleanser to scrub my shoes, etc. so I do not get infected by external factors. I have not had any poison ivy reactions since using Technu in this way. I swear by this product.

The first bottle arrived with a smashed plastic cap, wrapped with packing tape. The contents had leaked out and soaked through the box. I complained and received a new bottle quickly. Hibiclens is great for skin fungus, yeasts and bacteriological infections. It's the only thing that heals a rash I've had on my foot. Now, I understand both bottles came from the manufacturer, with the seller administrating the deal. I'm satisfied. The Hibiclens manufacturer was guilty of sending me the defective product. This guy is the middle-man and he is doing a good job. I have been instructed to leave my defective box outside my door for UPS pick-up, for the insurance. I didn't even need to send back the inventory form (which accidentaly got thrown out), nor did I need to write any address on the box. It was almost too easy! I order from Amazon because I can shop from home and my purchases appear on my doorstep, a few days later! This guy struggled to do all the right things for me! I'm pleased!

This is a great product for fighting bacteria. My dermatoligist told me about it a month ago, I 've been using it since. What you must do first is to wash with regular soap, then rinse . Once you done that now you use Hibiclens onthe affected area or all over. I called the company and they don't suggest using it above the neck or below the waist. My only warnig is DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FROM CIRCLEA, THEY ARE RIPOFFS.They advertise a low ball price ,but over charge you for shipping, $8.75 . But their website list shipping at $3.99. These people are terrible vendors. There are other sellers of this product on Amazon.Avoid CIRCLEA

Fantastic anti-bacterial cleanser

Works exactly as advertised. If bacteria and germs are of particular concern for you, this is THE product to have. It works great on skin irritations and is great for handwashing even though with regular use it may dry out your skin somewhat. I recommend getting the Hibiclens Hand Pump For 32 Oz to go with this bottle. It is a thin liquid and the pump makes it much easier to handle and use. I can't find a comparable value for this product locally and nothing beats having it delivered to your door-- no muss, no fuss! Excellent product & highly recommend.

False Advertising

The web site notes a price per gallon of $52.20 with a per ounce price of $.25 which is not accurate. A gallon has 128 ounces, $52.20 divided by 128 is $.40+ per ounce. This is a good product but the advertising should be accurate which it is not.

Clean hands, no flu or colds

I discovered this product when my daughter contracted MRSA, which is resistant to most antibiotics. The Hibiclens is not a cure for anything, though it helps contain an infection. It is also a means of preventing infection in the first place, killing germs on the hands before they get into contact with the eyes or mouth. Colds and the flu are a thing of the past for me -- with the help of the annual vaccination, of course. The anti-bacterial qualities last for several hours after a washing. I also use the soap as a substitute for deodorant, avoiding the chemicals that product contains. However, I do not use it on any other parts of my body, knowing there are good bacteria as well as bad and not wanting to disrupt or destroy the good. I've never gotten it in my eyes but have been warned that it's especially unpleasant for that to happen. Like any powerful agent, it must always be treated with respect and only used properly.

This is the most amazing stuff. Believe it or not, it is a no rinse product. Squirt some on the patient or on a wipe and clean the affected area. In addition to the more private parts of the patient, I also use it on the back or other areas which are prone to bed sores or other redness. It is wonderful. With this and with Calmoseptine for extreme cases, it is all you will ever need. I have been using it on a patient who hasn't got out of bed for a year.

Im over 40 yrs old and have been using Proactiv for over 5 yrs now. Most of the other treatments out there contain Salicytic Acid, which dries out my skin. The combination of Benzol Peroxide and just enough moisturizers is great for my oily skin, without drying it out. I agree with the others that once you start using this, your skin DOES become dependent on it. I was away on vacation and forgot my Proactiv bottles, after about 3 days I started breaking out. Fortunately I was able to find something pretty close in a CVS called ACNE FREE, which carries a fairly LARGE size of the Cleanser. Its not as "gritty" as the Proactiv Renewing Cleanser, but certainly worth it (Especially if you can find it on sale or have a store coupon!) I religiously use Proactiv in the AM and evening, and only have minor breakouts now 1-2x a month. The Refining mask is NOT really a mask, but a heavy sulfur smelling cream that works great as a overnight blemish remover. Use as a spot treatment right when you start to break out 1-2X a day, and you should see your blemish "dry out" in about 2-3 days. If you join as a Proactiv "member" you get access to other products such as their Sunscreen, powder and foundations, which I find work very well at controlling "shine" and giving enough cover without feeling like you have heavy foundation on. Overall I like Proactiv, its a bit pricey, but because it keeps my skin acne free, theres many days I dont need to wear any foundation/makeup, which saves me money overall.

Pernox is great for oily skin. It smooths and exfoliates so that make-up goes on more easily. It leaves skin feeling clean and silky. I love this stuff but it's impossible to find in stores and some of the on line distributors are slow to deliver.

I have moderate acne and it becomes cystic in the wintertime. This gets rid of cystic pimples and dryness. The only reason I give it a four instead of a five is because it doesnt completely get rid of the blackheads I have on my nose. Otherwise, I totally recommend this product. this is the best natural skin care line I've ever tried! The scrub is so gentle on your face, all you need is a tiny amount to get that foaming action. It feels greasy as you are rubbing it into your skin, but once you wash it off...your skin feels incredibly clean and perfectly exfoliated. I love the fact that it's all natural, non-comedogenic, cruelty-free, and don't contain any chemicals, just 100% natural ingredients. The scent of this scrub is very strong and lemony, but it's due to the lemongrass and orange peel extracts in it..so don't be alarmed! there are no fragrances added! My skin is quite sensitive, so whenever I use this scrub, I do feel a bit of stinging sensation...but it's not so bad. Once I wash the scrub off, my skin is much brighter and has a glow to it. I've also found that it has done a wonderful job at brightening up my acne marks left behind from previous pimples. I try not to use the scrub too often because I don't want to overdo it, but 2-3 times a week in place of my regular cleanser in the evening before I go to bed works wonders. I have very sensitive skin with rosacea on my cheeks, at first use, it was painful to use this cleanser. I soon found out it was user error - you have to use the tiniest amount and lather it with warm water BEFORE putting it on your face, start with your forehead and chin and then move to cheeks. My skin was irritated for the first 3 days and now I've been a loyal user for over a year!!! I LOVE SUKI!!

Not for people with Sensitive skin

I purchased this after reading a recommendation from a skin care specialist online. Unfortunately, she didn't say that it would not be good for someone that has sensitive skin. I assumed since it is made from all natural ingredients, it would be ok for my face, but it wasn't. My dermatologist said it is the lemongrass that irritated my skin.

I love this stuff. Not only does a little go a loooooong way, but it has cleared up my acne and even my skin tone! I have tried every product out there to get rid of acne and this worked. With added piece of mind that it is chemical free and is in recyclable container, I will never buy another product.
