Very disapointed by Brandon Wise from on 2010-07-15 I had high hopes with this product after reading the reviews but saw that it was just one of those internet scams. It gave none of the results that they advertiesed. I have used better resveratrol than this. I tried to get my money back and they wouldnt do it so I am screwed.
One of my "must take" supplements by melinar from on 2010-07-12 I have been taking this product for a couple of years now. I did a lot of research before I chose this brand, which was recently rated most effective by a major consumer group. While it IS more expensive than other brands, I feel that I am taking a brand that may have real benefits. The results aren't all in yet, but in the meantime I think I am doing my body a favor by taking daily resveratrol supplements, and by choosing this brand in particular. Be sure to read the info on Biotivia's webpage, which I found very convincing.
Trans-Resveratrol Experience by Bone'uh Vila Home Improvement Co. from on 2010-06-19 I did notice a slight increase in energy after taking this product for week. Although I cannot attribute this increase in energy with this product due to the fact that I started a diet the very same week. My diet consisted of whole foods, water and sport drinks, along with low fat meats. I did occasionally have an Arizona Tea every so many days, cause Arizona Tea is amazing. However after a month of ingesting this product my friends noticed that my face looked "younger" and brighter and felt softer. I really did not notice, but they did. Which I suppose is cool. However, researching resveratrol did show that it has a extremely low toxicity in mice, and is even lower in humans. It also supposedly showed a lot of benefits in mice: reducing the amount of free radicals in cells(known to cause aging), it is anti carcinogenic/antiestrogenic, and it does seem to help stop angiogenesis(growth of new blood vessels) of cancerous cells while not affecting normal angiogenisis. However, Human studies show very little benefits from the ingestion of resveratrol due to its low bio-availability(resveratrol is quickly metabolized before it can go to the cells that "use" it)I suppose this product may be worth it, but like I stated above, resveratol has a low boi-availability in humans. Once my month supply was out, I discontinued taking this product and I did not see a significant decrease in energy or a decrease on the condition of my skin.I'm thinking about taking this product again, now that I have a stable diet and a regular exercise routine. I suppose after I do, I will put up another one of these awesome written reviews when I get bored again.-till then broners.

Great Product by KPA from on 2010-06-27 Without going into too many boring specifics, overall I just feel better when I take this product. I am an adult going back to a tough college and I think the resveratrol helps me stay up later and concentrate better than before I started taking it. I am also a semi-serious athlete and I think it gives me more energy to run farther and faster than before. It's almost like my lungs are using the oxygen better or something.
I don't know if it did anything to curb my appetite because my workout schedule makes me ravenous sometimes and not have an appetite at all other times, so I have no baseline to compare to, unfortunately.
And one more thing - I work in pharmaceuticals and know from our studies that resveratrol is a safe supplement.
And of course there's no way to tell if I will live longer because of it, but I can hope!

I feel this was deceptively advertised. If I wanted Calcium I would have bought a Calcium supplement. The Labeling should be Calcium (the main ingredient) not Resveratrol.

Disappointed by daidai from on 2010-06-27 I wanted to like this product. I really did. I heard about the health benefits of resveratrol all over the internet, so I ordered this from online since it seems to be a pretty reliable brand. The first time I took the pill, I took one pill in mid-morning with food each day. However, by the third day I woke up with a slight cough and sore throat. I stopped, and the next day my flu-like symptoms went away. I wanted to give this product the benefit of doubt, so I waited another month and tried again. Again, I felt like I was breathing like I was sick by the third morning of taking this pill. I stopped again and the symptoms went away. I tried it ONE MORE time in the past few days, and the same thing happened again. I don't know what is wrong, but maybe I have allergies to this pill? I don't think I experienced any of the appetite suppressing, metabolism boosting, and energy giving effects of the pill. Whatever the case may be, I was sorely disappointed by this product and will not order again.

I'm happy with it and ordering 120 Vcaps which is an even better deal. First, it's got a high dose of resveratrol (200mg) -- contrary to what detractors claim. Second, it's got no side effect other than the darker yellow urine. (I take it before I go to bed.) Third, it's improved my vision as I had hoped for. I have had vision problems due to glaucoma. My vision is sharper and clearer now. I now need less strong prescription for daily chores including driving. Yes, it does smell kinda funny, but not unbearable. Overall, I feel better, but I don't know whether it's attributable to this product or my regular exercise.

It may not sound significant, but since I haven't changed my diet or anything about what and how I eat, I think it's remarkable. And there are no bad side effects that I have noticed. The extra energy and alertness is a given. While others are yawning around you in the afternoon or evening you still have the energy to do some more stuff. Two things factored into my changing into this particular brand. Its organic and the trans-resveratrol content of 250 mg. I take only one a day and I feel its adequate. So one bottle gives me two months supply. That breaks down to 50 cents a day. Not bad. I'm over 50. As long as I can afford it I will keep on using it as a daily supplement. I dont drink any alcohol never did never will. I have resveratrol.

Week 8 report by K. Corley from FL USA on 2010-08-01 I recently read an article [...] which referred to the, " anti-obesity properties of resveratrol..." being confirmed for the first time in a primate (in this case a lemur). Since I've been struggling with weight for the last ten years (I'm now forty) and slowly loosing the battle I was on the lookout for anything that would give me an 'edge' and I decided to try this product. I bought the 3-pack and went through them in a month. At the end of this time I was stable in weight, which was a good sign because I have a tendency to indulge myself when I'm trying something new. I bought three more and I've now finished them and I'm now 5lbs down from where I was at the beginning of the experiment. I've noticed that I'm sweating more easily so I suspect that I'm benefiting from the thermagenic effects of an increased metabolism. We can't believe how much better he feels now. It took about a month to see a real difference, but he isn't waking up tired, dragging himself home from work, and flopping on the couch anymore. His face is getting thinner, his shoulders look more muscled, and he is starting to look like when we first met. It is cheap, shipps fast, and it has helped me a lot with my blood sugar issues as well as circulation when I wear boots or a wet suit. My Wife (42) and I wanted to have a baby since we started 3 years ago, and she could not get pregnant at all (first time for both), we went to check IVF treatments and they charged $15.000 for 1 try and not conception for sure ($30.000 for 3 tries! ).
We did not have that money, my wife Crying at the Center for Reproductive Medicine of Orlando (Pinehurst location) -Dr. Lloyd- when we were told our insurance did not cover the IVF treatment ... it is a memory that will be hard to forget in time...
She was always taking prenatal vitamins (just in case) we kept hoping every month to see the period stop .. but more of the same, she turned 42, looking to menopause getting closer ... we were loosing our chances and "our hope" of making a full family of our own.I bought Country Life Resveratrol Plus formula (because of the many good fenefits inside the body that I've read of its components in lef.org) hoping to regenerate her whole body-system, plus "DHEA" and Collagen + and she started taking this resveratrol every day as indicated... and the others every 3 days approx. . Just a month later ... it happened !!!.She is 42 now as of April 2010, pregnant of a 5 1/2 months baby girl, they said (again ...) that because of the 11 week blood tests ... the baby was coming with problems (age & hormones) and if first test gave positive.. almost impossible for the second and final one to come alright (more tears)... we kept the resveratrol and less of the other 2 ... and the last test (16 weeks) gave OK!!! . The docs (Obstetrics, and high risk pregnancy doc) did not understand; they can condemn you life in a second but to admit there is something extraordinary that is not in the books in a while more.
There is a lot of people trying to conceive a baby and cannot do it, and they get ripped off by those Fertility Clinic "thiefs" that take advantage of their desperation, I hope you know of somebody and pass this testimony.
I feel lucky and compelled to tell my story that I hope it works for some of you too.
Note:we also tried until a month before the start with resveratrol accupuncture (for 5 sesions)... she did feel better. Good luck and I really hope this testimony can help a couple that is demoralized for the lack of answers.. and ultimately hope. (you will find more reviews at iherb.com)

I must take an anticoagulant, for waht a blow on my hand resulted normally on a bruise. Now it doesn't happen, so I suppose the Resveratrol really improves the strength of capillaries, accomplishing at least one of the promoted effects. I qualified it only with 4 stars, because I have no way to check the antioxidant properties.
pretty good product by SNP from on 2009-10-26 This was an excellent buy considering the market in town here charges double the price per bottle. This was recommended to me by a coworker who had been taking it for awhile and I could see the results. He was looking much better and healthier, thinner too. I think this works differently for different people though. He lost weight and my hair and nails grow like there's no tomorrow. I'm not sure what that means.

If it lives up to the hype, it may be nothing short of a miracle drug. I've been doing a bit of research on the different brands, and this one, with its price to mg ratio and quality, seems to be among the best according to consensus. (I don't work for the company or own its stock--don't even know if its public or not.) Another brand that seems to get high marks is Nature's Way. I definitely recommend trying some form of resveratrol. I may be experiencing a placebo and its only one person's experience, but I feel good taking it.This supplement, like most reservatrol supplements, contains a significant amount of emodin, which is known for its laxative effect. It seems to be increasingly well tolerated by the body as you continue to take it, so I recommend slowly ramping up your dosage. It seems like a dose of 500mg a day (5 of these pills) is what most people work themselves up to. I have been taking three or four pills for a few weeks and will go up to and level off at about five pills a day. Some swear by taking it on an empty stomach but that is a bit too strong for my taste. Why not take your resveratrol with dinner and a nice glass of wine? (Spacing out the pills over the course of a day may be advisable.)

Before taking TRANSMAX~500mg, I had difficulties juggling all the immunology, math, chemistry, etc classes. TRANSMAX has definitely helped me to focus and ace those classes. Also, my joints are not so stiff. But it has not helped my husband. So, I suppose that its effects may vary from person to person.

Energizing by Karmala from on 2010-08-12 I have been using this for about 3 years now and can tell you that I definitely feel a difference when I stop taking it. I don't consciously stop... just get bogged down with life and forget. One day I will notice that I am feeling fatigued, have no energy, am not sleeping well, etc and then realize that I haven't taken it for a while. I get right back on it and it takes about a week to 10 days before I am back to my energizer bunny status. I know of others... read "younger"... who say it works faster for them, but it takes that long for this 56 YO body to get up and going again.

It does not, the label shows a proprietary blend, and clearly states that the resveratrol comes from Polygonum Cuspidatum, which is the japanese knotweed. Japanese knotweed is not organic, and is used by all resveratrol companies in the supplement business.In Short, if you believe the resveratrol in this product comes from organic ingredients, you are incorrect.It is just marketing.
