Statin (High cholesterol) User? Worked for me..

I had tried for several years to take something to lower my cholesterol. The meds which do this are all called statins.Each time I tried one and then later switched to a new one, I would get what felt like flue-like symptoms after I had taken the statin. Every 5 days or so, I"d feel like I had a fever, aches, lethargy and more. Just like a mild flu. Sadly, I had to stop taking any meds to lower my cholesterol after trying 5 different statins.I went for an unrelated assessment and the nurse practitioner told me about CoQ10. I bought some and now take 100mg in the morning and at night with my statin med. It has worked. I can now take the statin. I plan on trying to reduce the amount from 200mg a day to 100 mg a day and see how that works.

How Do I Rate Something Like This?

To read all I have here At Amazon, people make it sound like taking ANY of these supplements will make you feel like a kid again, cure everything that ails you etc. Reading all these reviews, I felt like the times may have changed but NOT the story. It used to be called snake oil. Now? Well lets just call it "Supplements oil"..... I have 2+ full months under my belt now and every single ONE of these things was allegedly going to be FELT and felt in just a couple of days.....Well I have the 2 months, and feel NOTHING. Period. Do they help? No idea. But found out my cholesterol is even a bit WORSE and my triglycerides and my HDL is worse. I have done all you are supposed to do and yet here I am. So to be fair, I rate this and all my supplements with 3 stars. Why? Simple. Don't know if they work, or don't. I know what they COST. And it doesn't bother me in the least because I know at least I tried. Along with exercise and the rest. I won't be buying any more of any of these supplements. But I will continue to eat healthy and exercise. It was worth a try right?

Inferior quality control

I purchased this product to help strengthen my heart after a heart attack. When I received the package the seal was not properly adhered to the lip of the bottle leaving a large gap and there was no packing material in the bottle (cotton). In these times of contamination and product tampering I found that to be unacceptible. I will never order any of their products again because their quality control is so inferior.

My husband and I have taken Wellness Formula for several years now and recommend it to all of our friends. In the past two years, I have only taken two sick days at work and I blame it on not being as diligent with taking this supplement. I work at a public library, where all kinds of illnesses circulate--especially since the library seems to be a favourite place for people to go when they are unwell, wanting to stock up on media. I am very confident that this product has helped ward off a number of nasty viruses and illnesses that go around.I would give it five stars, but, admittedly, it can be off-putting. like most herbal remedies, I find it can be upsetting on an empty stomach and sometimes I feel slightly nausous after taking a few if I haven't had enough to eat and drink with the pills. Also, the tablets are *very* smelly and difficult to swallow. The capsules work fairly well.Great stuff! I swear by it and even force it upon good friends when they are unwell.

Prevents ommon cold/flu

I've used this product for years. When I take it at the first signs of imbalance, it usually prevents colds/flu, even when I have been heavily exposed to others who are sick. It seems to alkalize my system.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but : IT WORKS

I'm a skeptic. I'm also, like you, susceptible to getting the occasional cold during the winter months. The only other supplement I've tried to "treat" my cold was Airborne, which I feel did not help one bit. Wellness Formula, on the other hand, not only reduces the severity of my cold, but also the duration. It's not a cure, but honestly I cannot believe how quickly this supplement helps me recuperate. You have to take many pills to have any effect, about 6 capsules every 4-6 hours at the height of your symptoms. If I feel like I am getting sick, I begin a Wellness Formula regimen and I have only mild illness. Until we find a cure for the cold (let's work on cancer first), this supplement makes life a whole lot better through your sniffles.

Identical formula as tablets but daily recommended dose is 4 for capsules and 2 for tablets. Tablets are large and even if broken in half are difficult for some to swallow. Capsules are easier to swallow and dosage can be more easily divided over the course of a day. Iron in a multiple is generally not recommended for adults over a certain age so this particular product contains no iron but is also available with iron for those who prefer or want it. I did not find anything negative about this product when I was looking for a really good multiple. It contains all of the vitamins and minerals I was looking for and then some others which can't hurt but might help. Supplements were not meant to replace food as the primary source of necessary vitamins, minerals, etc. but a good supplement can fill in the gaps that might exist. I take 1/4 to 1/2 the recommended daily dose and I am very satisfied with this product.

Balanced, No Iron - REALLY DOES GIVE ENERGY

This is a fantastic product that is not too expensive and yet has very high quality nutrients. It has received high acclaim from nutritionists and health experts, hence my incentive to try it, but the best part is it actually WORKS. I do have more energy from 2-8 hours after taking one of these as well...so I do NOT recommend taking this before bed as I have some days and it keeps me up unless I go wear myself out exercising!

Disappointed so far

After reading the good reviews on this product I decided I'd give it a try. I've been taking these for a week today (3x a day instead of twice). I do not have increased energy or a curbed appetite & no weight loss (maybe too soon for that). I have even changed my diet & started exercising again but still...nothing. The only thing I have noticed is that it makes my mouth dry after a while & that I fall asleep faster. Can't say if it would make me sleep better b/c I have a newborn so I'm up all the time. Hopefully with more time I'll see more benefits...

Acai Berry Capsules

I have been using this product for about 3 weeks and have not had any adverse affects. I have not seen a drastic improvement in weight loss however it does increase energy and prohibits me from being sleepy or sluggish throughout the day. The seller got it to me in a timely fashion, still with the freshness seal still on it.

So I started taking these about a week ago, and I already see a difference. I started out as a thin girl but I felt uncomfortable around my stomach and thighs. With these my stomach is noticeably smaller, but I also lost a bit of weight in my chest as well, which isnt necessarily a good thing. The suggested dose for these is 2 capsules a day, but I have been taking 4 a day. I havent had any side effects except getting fuller quicker, but thats a good thing.

Acai is great if you want to reduce your appetite. If you eat for pleasure then it might not work as well. I found that in two months of taking this supplement I didn't lose a great deal of weight (as reported in some reviews) but I did see dramatic results in the clarity and radiance of my skin. This supplement contains powerful antioxidants which protect the cells from free radicals. So if you are interested in skin health then I can recommend this to you. Ok product, but have since found better

This product is your typical Carnitine+ALA supplement, giving 1g of Carnitine and 300mg of ALA per 2 tablet dose. I thought this product was ok, i say ok because it took 4 tables for a noticeable effect. I have since found another product that delivers the ingredient in a more absorbable capsule based form, which i feel the difference off only 2 capsules. My other product also delivers 600mg of ALA per serving vs. only 300mg in this product.Also, i did not like all the binders and fillers involved in these tablets, read the label and you will find: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Stearic Acid, Modified Cellulose Gum, Magnesium Stearate, and Colloidal Silicon Dioxide.I don't think i would buy again simply because there is better on the market without all the junk, for a comparable price. Quality is my number one consideration in purchasing supplements.

Great Multivitamin

I have been taking this multivitamin for about a year now and when taken as instructed, it is a very well-rounded, overall supplement. I use to take this multivitamin without the iron, but I just recently switched to include iron because my twin sister was diagnosed with severe anemia. Being able to chose whether or not you want iron in your favorite supplement is a great perk for the Source Naturals Life Force line. I would recommend it to my friends and family. However, I warn that if you do not eat something before you take it, you may experience severe stomach pains. This is not a vitamin that looks and smells pretty because it actually does the job compared to leading brands.

I've tried one other brand of Melatonin and it didn't work for me. This brand is very good and it also has a pleasant orange flavor. Follow directions as stated on the bottle.I get really good sleeps when I use this. It is my understanding that melatonin, if taken every night, will stop working after a few months. I use it occasionally, sometimes for a week at a time. I'm very happy with this product - and it is natural, not a prescription drugs, which is a big plus.

I have extreme insomnia; I've tried every kind of sleep technique out there and nothing has ever worked for me, until I tried this Melatonin. As long as I'm making an effort to fall asleep, this stuff has put me to sleep most of the time. It won't knock you out like certain drugs can, but if it's dark and quiet, you will definitely fall asleep with this stuff within 30 minutes, just make sure you don't swallow any of it; just dissolve under your tongue completely.A warning though: a few of the times it didn't work, I would take another tablet, this however, caused me to feel very nauseous for a couple hours. Not sure if they're related, but I did experience it enough times to correlate the nausea to the tablets. Note though that I have never felt nauseous while taking one tablet a night.For those who still wake up in the middle of the night while taking these, take some Magnesium as well. The Melatonin helps you fall asleep while the Magnesium keeps you asleep during the night.By the way, these things actually taste good!

I occasionally take one of these when I really want a good nights sleep. This product worked great for me. I can totally feel it in a matter of 15-20 minutes. My eyes start getting heavy and I know I'm about to fall asleep. I only take one tablet, I'm 5"11 and 170 lbs.

Works very well to help me sleep when I'm stressed out. Only negative is that the acid tends to burn the bottom of your tongue if you use it too often.

This product is great.My daughter has autism and has a sleep disorder.She takes medication to sleep but its not enough so i have to give her 9ml of melatonin with it.She falls asleep fast and wakes up refreshed with no hangover effects.I recommend this to anyone that can't fall asleep.

These pills are great especially for someone like me that doesn't need help staying/falling asleep often but very much so every now and then. They will knock you out and you won't wake up until the next morning but as my doctor advised me, I should only use it every once in a while because your body will diminish its own melatonin production if I use it as an everyday supplement before bed. But as a suplement itself, it does just as it is supposed to, put you to sleep like a baby! Two thumbs up!

Somewhat suspect...

After taking the shrink wrap off the bottle, I opened the top to find that inner safety seal was only attached on one side. Amazon happily sent out another bottle and this one was just the same... I decided to try it and it didn't work. I have used melatonin in the past and it has always helped which makes me wonder if someone is switching out the melatonin and replacing it with sugar pills... definitely suspect!

I feel great and would highly recommend this product....I have tried many vitamins and herbs to feel good and renew my enery.....this product worked for me and the price is right....taking two pills in the morning and two later before dinner..has worked for me...simple...all the people around me have gotten sick with colds and I have not....not sure if it is because of resveratrol, but I would say yes, yes, yes....I will be ordering this product again.....believe I usually will try something once and say it's okay but I will not re-order...but this time it's two thumbs up.....you don't have to spend a lot of money either.....

the packaging has changed but the "Source Naturals" "Resveratrol" I received has 159 mgs of Calcium, 10 mg of sodium, and only 20mg of Resveratrol. I feel this was deceptively advertised. If I wanted Calcium I would have bought a Calcium supplement. The Labeling should be Calcium (the main ingredient) not Resveratrol.

Great stuff, with stated potency

I like it, and we trust the Source Naturals brand with its listed potency of the resveratrol ingredient. Shipping is also free from DAB.I've previously tried Longevinex which is much more expensive and has a very strange oily consistency inside of the capsules. These are solid tables with little filler that smell like grains, probably from grape seed. It does not upset my stomach, which is great, too.Resveratrol is the 25 year cure with many positive interactions with health maintenance and interrupting the disease process that make it essential, especially for adults over 30 when aging begins to occur.
