I have given this product a fair amount of time to make a final decision on whether or not I really liked it. After reading reviews I purchased it but have not seen amazing results, only more frequent breakouts!! I have used it now for several months! I do like the clean feeling it gives after you use it but, it is VERY temporary and when I go check my face out in the mirror it is already oily again after only a few hours. Yuck! I have had more breakouts since using this product and I will not purchase it again that is for sure!

The cleanser is really gentle and leaves your face feeling clean but not dry. I have combination skin and it worked great for me. The only problem I had with it smelled a little weird, nothing too bad but not great either. Overall a great face soap.

Just buy it and enjoy! I have oily/combination skin and it works perfectly for me. It cleanses and softens and reduces the incidents of break outs and other skin flare ups. I use it with the "Clarisonic" cleansing brush and the combination is amazing! I now get compliments for my "beautiful skin" and I'm over 50!

I absolutely love this product!! Not only does it leave my face feeling clean (but not dry) it has totally eliminated the mild to moderate breakouts I'd been suffering from for the past year.Previously I used Oil of Olay (Clarfiy and Cleanse Foaming Facewash) and just about every Neutragena product for oily skin, but with Neutragena especially, I saw no improvement in my skin :( In retrospect those harsh detergents were probably contributing to the problem, causing a vicious cycle amoung my wallet, my face and the pharmacy skin care lane.I tried Cetaphil after reading online reviews on [...], and after only 3 months, have seen major improvement (read: not one zit for over 4 wks) Admittedly it is not an overnight miracle, but the only change to my routine including diet, exercise and overall lifestyle has been this product, and I wholly attribue my clear skin to it.I use this product 2x per day (a.m and p.m), and for my night ritual I use a disposal exfoliating sponge to help remove my makeup, followed by the Oil of Olay Beta Hydroxy night cream. Please note though that I use an eye makeup remover prior to washing my face, (as I would with any other product) and use only a light application of Mineral (powder) foundation, so I cant guarantee that Cetaphil is effective with heavier applications of makeup.This product is clear, with a smooth consistency and a clean, pleasant scent. It does not lather, rather you massage it onto your skin for it to work its magic. I leave it on my face and neck for 30-45 seconds, then rinse. This cleanser really does rinse clean, with no dryness or tight feeling when pat your face dry, I have even stopped using an astringent/toner, and just go straight to moisturiser.Altogether I would highly recommend this product, it is super effective yet still gentle, and is very affordably priced, just make sure you get the appropriate formula for your skin type, i.e dry vs oily!!

This is a great product. I am 66 years old and my face still breaks out all the time, usually from some product which sets it off. This product is wonderful. I have been breakout free ever since I have been using it. It is gentle yet keeps those excess cells off of the skin surface. It is not drying at all. It is very well priced for a glycolic acid cleanser.

I used it they way all the reviewers said to use it. Apply to a dry face and neck 5 min before you get in the shower and after a week or so this 49 year old lady started waking up in the morning and my face felt oily! I will continue to use this product.

I have to be very careful what I put on my skin as I have rosacea, which is an inflammatory condition, and any type of exfoliator or even mild astringent can cause a long-lasting outbreak. Avalon Organics' Vitamin C cleansing gel has a light, citrusy scent which wakes up my skin in the morning while providing gentle cleansing that leaves my skin soft and refreshed. Fantastic Face Cleaner!

I love the smell of this facial cleanser - a refreshing orange scent that wakes you up (and is nice even at night!). But I really started using it because it met my criteria for "healthy" beauty products. This product has no parabens and no sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates, and it is compliant with the EU Cosmetics Directive (much more stringent than our own FDA regulations for chemicals in beauty products. It is not, in face, a completely organic product, though at the top of the ingredient list are organic lavender, chamomile, and white tea. A small amount lathers well, and my face feels so clean after I use it. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that it does contain benzyl alcohol and some other "unnatural" compounds, but this will still remain in my rotation.

Perfect for Sensitive Skin

My skin is really dry, particularly after a long course of Accutane. Winter weather can cause a lot of visible skin irritation from shaving, and most men's face washes are not targeted well to my skin type. However, White Knight has been perfect. It leaves my skin much more resistant to razor burn than other washes and, while more expensive than I am comfortable with, is recommended to anyone with very dry skin.If you don't have such dry skin, you may want to try something a bit harsher, as this really doesn't get the dead skin off well. Shaving is, of course, an extreme exfoliation in itself, but a cleanser this gentle might cause acne or razor bumps in some skin types.

This cleanser is not bad, though not for dry skin as stated on the package because it dries out skin, as a consequence it's harder to shave. i bought this cleanser with oil free lotion with spf 15 from Anthony to try but i definetly won't buy again.

Nice on the face

I use this about 4 times a week..it is very gentle and smells great..Really brings out the dirt, it is very unique with the color and the smell, smells really fresh and clean..I use this on the days I don't use the Anthony Logistics Action face scrub (see my review for that product)...this is not an exfoliater scrub so if you are looking for that type of product don't buy this one..I recommend the Anthony Action face scrub for the exfoliation..this product lathers up nicely..my tip is this: when scrubing, exfoliating or cleaning your face, massage whatever product you are using into your palms first then make small circles around your face..30 seconds is what I do and this works well, this is the tip higher-end mens grooming sites recommend and after trying their method of cleasnisng the face it really does better for you face then just scrubbing up and down for 10 seconds...overall, you cannot go wrong with this product..I recommend it..

Excellent non-drying face wash

If you have sensitive, dry skin you should try this face wash. My skin breaks out easily and is very dry. This is the best cleanser I have found that does not dry out my face further and is gentle enough to use every day. Combine it with a good moisturizer. I agree with the previous reviewer- not very manly but no one wants angry red rashes from irritating soaps.

I use the AL Algae Face Wash twice a day and my face has never been in better condition.The bottle says for normal to dry skin. My skin tends to be combination to oily. Regardless this face wash seems to balance my skin and leave my face feeling clean without overdrying.I highly recomend this product. My girlfriend even used it and commented on how good of a product it is.

I have used the Algae Facial Cleanser for over two years. I tend to use it twice a week and a little goes a long way. You wash your face with water than apply rubbing in the gel all over your face, than you rinse.One tip shake the tube before you use as the water base product will seperate from the alage. The smell is a very clean smell with a slight floral hint. Your face will feel very clean after you apply and have a slight shine.

I have been using the Buf-Puf single use sponges for years and I absolutely love them. It is a hassle having to order them now versus being able to just go to the store to pick them up. I have tried to find them in the store and have not found them for the past couple of years. I usually order in bulk to carry me over for a few months. I have used other sponges in the past, even other kinds of Buf-Pufs, but this is the best for me.

I love these because they are disposable and work really well. I don't use them too often (maybe once a month or when I feel like I need it). They do the job quick and easy, then just toss in the trash. I don't have to worry about mold growing or anything like that. Totally sanitary. I highly recommend and will buy again. Since I don't use them too often, they last me a very long time (years - - LOL)

This lathers up very well, feels very moist and non drying, does not aggravate my acne prone skin, and is unscented. That said, for use on a daily basis, I think I prefer a cleanser that does not lather up as much so I don't have to work so hard to remove all the residual suds. Also, although I hate flowery, perfume-y scents, it does have a slight chemical-something non-scent that is not unpleasant but I do not particularly enjoy smelling it, either.Overall, a good product that I would recommend and may buy again.

This is the best cleanser that I've ever found to remove makeup GENTLY without drying out my skin or leaving a residue. It seems as though Eucerin discontinued it, so here I am stocking up. Product arrived as expected on time... they taped the tops closed, but despite their best efforts there was some leakage. Nothing to write home about. Excellent!

I love this cleanser - it's also frgance free which is important to me since I have sensitive skin. Should cost about $6 a bottle. It foams up nicely and just removes everything in one swoop! I used to use an Olay cleanser which seemed comparable, but it was not removing all my makeup. This is the cleanser for me, by far. It meets all my qualifications- not expensive, no fragrance and removes makeup! If you live in the NY/NJ area you can get it at Harmon.

Best facial cleanser

I have combination type skin with an oily t-zone. I've tried products from the cheap ones you can find at any pharmacy to other expensive brands and I have found through my own personal use that this is the best. It does wonders for when my skin is extra oily and does an excellent job of giving my skin a clean feeling. The scent is very pleasant, very citrus-y. It doesn't foam up, but I find that I prefer just to rub it in my fingers and massage it on my face. The 8 oz bottle lasts me about 5-6 months of daily use since you only need a very small amount to get the job done. I would recommend using some type of moisturizer afterwards as it tends to dry out my skin. Other than that, this product comes highly recommended.

This is one of the better facial cleansers I have tried. It didn't leave my face dry and peeling, and the citrus scent is great. If feels oily on your skin, but this doesn't last after you wash it off. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the texture. Other than that, it's great!

Squeaky Clean % Non Irritating

Great product. Started using it after suffering an outbreak of my rosacea. Scrubs, astringents and other products (especially anything containing salicylic acid)just left my face irritated, red and excessively dry. This stuff does none of that. Cleans great without irritating my rosacea or leaving any perfume like scents. I plan on using this product as long as they keep making it.

I am a typical guy when it comes to soaps, but when a girlfriend gave me a sample of this I was hooked. After three days of use I could see a noticeable difference. My skin looked healthier, clearer, and I didn't need to coat my face in lotion after I used it like I have to when I use a normal soap, as it does not dry your face out. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great cleaner, but I'd suggest getting the Anthony Algae cleanser first. This glycolic facial cleaner does prep your face for a good shave, but overdries. It is not suggested for those who have dry skin or acne problems.

A great cleanser with a mildly greasy feel

The first thing I noticed about this item was the incredible smell. Yummy! I absolutly adore beauty items that smell as good as they work.The first time I used this cleanser, though, I noticed that it doesn't rinse clean away like a lot of Burt's Bees products do. Granted, the directions state to rinse with a wash cloth, but I tried without one first thinking that all the hair products rinse so well, why wouldn't this? I rinsed, then I rinsed again, then I grabbed a dry cloth and rubbed off what I could still feel on my face. I then went to my toner and mask like usual.Today, everything seems fine and dandy. My skin still feels a little oily like it usually does in the summertime. I will continue to use this cleanser and see how it works in the long term. At this point, the only down side is the reside feel. If it clears up my skin and has no SLS, then I may come back and change my 4 star to a 5 star.

Perfect for sensitive skin

For someone who has reacted adversely even to Clinique cleansers, this Burts Bees cleanser is a godsend. It doesn't dry out my thin skin, smells fresh after a long day, and lasts forever. I just apply and wipe off with moist cotton pads. Sometimes I even use it in the bath for a pick-me-up. It is essential for me that my personal and home products are ethically produced and relatively free of potentially harmful chemicals, so this is perfect all-around.

Simply the best face soap I have ever used. Love the scent. So gentle, and leaves my face feeling soft and refreshed. Needs to be a "subscribe and save" item!

I love this product, if you've have issues finding a facial cleanser like I have, you'll love this product. Trust me! I have sensitive skin the gets dry a flaky but it's left my face looking great. It doesn't leave your face feeling tight and itchy after use. I would recommend this product to everyone.

Gentle and effective

Great smelling gentle, yet effective facial cleanser. Does not leave skin "squeaky clean", instead it preserves moisture. Great on sensitive skin and dry skin, even with breakouts. Not sure how well it would work on normal to oily or oily skin. Works best in combination with a weekly deep pore scrub exfoliation.
