DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE

Been taking this supplement for months now. Feel no energy boost as others have stated, and cholesterol levels are the same! I think many users want this to work, and they believe whatever they read about it, but I see no positive benefit at all. The only ones who benefit are the companies selling the product. Save your money.

Great supplement if you are on statins. Even my DR agreed I should add this to my supplements. The gel tabs w/oil base dissolve more thoroughly in your system. I did my analysis on Consumer Labs.

it's a very good quality product. its presentation is just what the manufacturer announces inside and out. Easily absorbed by the body. Biologically, I am still waiting on metabolic changes (it's probably too soon to review since date of purchase). Blood pressure remains at the same levels as when I decided to give the product a try. I do feel an energetic rush from the 100 mg dose when I do my routine aerobic exercise in the early morning. Will wait a little longer for body adjustments to product intake because my reason for buying it initially had to do with lowering blood pressure naturally but my heart isn't there yet. I will take it together with Enalapril. There is no medical risk or counter effect as far as I have researched and consulted with physician.

Statin (High cholesterol) User? Worked for me..

I had tried for several years to take something to lower my cholesterol. The meds which do this are all called statins.Each time I tried one and then later switched to a new one, I would get what felt like flue-like symptoms after I had taken the statin. Every 5 days or so, I"d feel like I had a fever, aches, lethargy and more. Just like a mild flu. Sadly, I had to stop taking any meds to lower my cholesterol after trying 5 different statins.I went for an unrelated assessment and the nurse practitioner told me about CoQ10. I bought some and now take 100mg in the morning and at night with my statin med. It has worked. I can now take the statin. I plan on trying to reduce the amount from 200mg a day to 100 mg a day and see how that works.

How Do I Rate Something Like This?

After my heart attack, I tired this and a lot of other supplements in an effort to better control my health and better manage my condition. To read all I have here At Amazon, people make it sound like taking ANY of these supplements will make you feel like a kid again, cure everything that ails you etc. Reading all these reviews, I felt like the times may have changed but NOT the story. It used to be called snake oil. Now? Well lets just call it "Supplements oil"..... I have 2+ full months under my belt now and every single ONE of these things was allegedly going to be FELT and felt in just a couple of days.....Well I have the 2 months, and feel NOTHING. Period. Do they help? No idea. But found out my cholesterol is even a bit WORSE and my triglycerides and my HDL is worse. I have done all you are supposed to do and yet here I am. So to be fair, I rate this and all my supplements with 3 stars. Why? Simple. Don't know if they work, or don't. I know what they COST. And it doesn't bother me in the least because I know at least I tried. Along with exercise and the rest. I won't be buying any more of any of these supplements. But I will continue to eat healthy and exercise. It was worth a try right?

Inferior quality control

I purchased this product to help strengthen my heart after a heart attack. When I received the package the seal was not properly adhered to the lip of the bottle leaving a large gap and there was no packing material in the bottle (cotton). In these times of contamination and product tampering I found that to be unacceptible. I will never order any of their products again because their quality control is so inferior.

I have no way of verifying if this actually works but I know these are so expensive and this right here is a great bargain!!! I could not believe the packaging though?!?! It is ginormous, made for blind people packaging? I use this to help my liver breakdown fat. I have high cholesterol.

I started taking CoQ10 a couple weeks ago after reading about benefits in a brain health book. I noticed a change the first few days but seems like my body has adjusted since then. I will still take them but plan to try the Trader Joe's brand which is being sold for 17.99 (100mg and 90 tabs).

This stuff is suppose to be helpful for those on statins or heart failure. I have been taking these for a month, but cannot tell if they are helping or not. Course, there is no way to tell until the next visit to the doctor or echo. I asked the cardiologist: he recommended 100mg daily and that it is well tolerated by patients. I read several clinical studies about it, and the results were not consistent. I had 2 concerns: 1) Is it bio-available? If you take it, is it absorbed by the body? It is an unregulated supplement, so this is not a given. The studies, however, showed that the levels in the body do increase measurably. 2) Cost: these things ain't cheap. It is safe, but chances are good that it doesn't really help, but it might, a little. So, I have no objection to taking it, as long as you do not have to pay too much, so shop around. Note especially the price per dose.

I bought this because the vitamin packet that I used to take has been discontinued, and I couldn't find another packet that included this supplement. I just found this supplement at Costco for less than half this price!

I purchased this in an effort to reduce my blood pressure. I closely monitor it and it has read lower for the last few weeks by as much as 10 points in both the upper and lower numbers. Of course this may just be how it affects me, but its a small capsule which is easy to take and has not had any side effects whatsoever.

Easy to give to cats

I take a small mustache scissor and poke a hole in the top of this capsule and squeeze the contents onto my cats food and she loves the taste. A great supplement for cats with hypocardiomyopathy. Cheaper to buy this than the ones made specifically for cats... its the same exact thing.

I am a fan of Source Naturals vitamins and have been for about 10 years. The vitamins are always obtained from natural sources and formulated into excellent and effective products. I found the x1 30 mg softgels COQ10 to be sufficient for my needs, and feel an almost immediate effect when using the product (taken with a meal) I do not recommend taking this product with dinner, or you might find yourself up all night. It adds a great amount of non-nervous energy and vitality. I also take Source Naturals NKO Neptune Krill Oil and this product is certified and manufactured by a company for Source Naturuals that uses only 100% Neptune Krill Oil, which means that your getting your money's worth. I use this supplement in conjunction with a statin which is used to reduced cholesterol. Some medical tests reveal a loss in coq10 level with the use of statins. This supplement seems to work fine for me.

Twinlab Ultra CoQ10 capsules are simply the best. Pure CoQ10 that's easy to swallow. Pricey but worth it.Note: Most of the world's CoQ10 is made in Japan. The pure stuff is bright, light ocre in color. A lot of companies package an inferior product in colored capsules so that you can't see what you're swallowing. If you want to be sure you're getting what you pay for, stick with Twinlab Ultra CoQ10.

An important energy boost

I've been using CoQ10 for some time now as an energy booster, as recommended by my acupuncturist (don't dismiss the value of acupuncture until you've tried it.) He explained that the statin prescribed by my physician depletes some naturally occurring enzymes and that was probably the reason for my fatigue. Ran the idea past both my primary physician and cardiologist. Both agreed it was worth trying and should do no harm. There's been a marked improvement in my energy level and stamina since using CoQ10. The main difference between this particular product, ordered through Amazon, and that I had been buying at the drug store is price. Actually, price is the only difference I can see. I'm saving a ton of money here and getting the same good effect.
