I feel great and would highly recommend this product....I have tried many vitamins and herbs to feel good and renew my enery.....this product worked for me and the price is right....taking two pills in the morning and two later before dinner..has worked for me...simple...all the people around me have gotten sick with colds and I have not....not sure if it is because of resveratrol, but I would say yes, yes, yes....I will be ordering this product again.....believe I usually will try something once and say it's okay but I will not re-order...but this time it's two thumbs up.....you don't have to spend a lot of money either.....

It's no accident how many mg of Resveratrol is NOT displayed...

the packaging has changed but the "Source Naturals" "Resveratrol" I received has 159 mgs of Calcium, 10 mg of sodium, and only 20mg of Resveratrol. I feel this was deceptively advertised. If I wanted Calcium I would have bought a Calcium supplement. The Labeling should be Calcium (the main ingredient) not Resveratrol.

Great stuff, with stated potency

I like it, and we trust the Source Naturals brand with its listed potency of the resveratrol ingredient. Shipping is also free from DAB.I've previously tried Longevinex which is much more expensive and has a very strange oily consistency inside of the capsules. These are solid tables with little filler that smell like grains, probably from grape seed. It does not upset my stomach, which is great, too.Resveratrol is the 25 year cure with many positive interactions with health maintenance and interrupting the disease process that make it essential, especially for adults over 30 when aging begins to occur.

I had high hopes with this product after reading the reviews but saw that it was just one of those internet scams. It gave none of the results that they advertiesed. I have used better resveratrol than this. I tried to get my money back and they wouldnt do it so I am screwed.

Helps me to focus!

I am 60 yr old female back in school to retrain for the job market. Before taking TRANSMAX~500mg, I had difficulties juggling all the immunology, math, chemistry, etc classes. TRANSMAX has definitely helped me to focus and ace those classes. Also, my joints are not so stiff. But it has not helped my husband. So, I suppose that its effects may vary from person to person.

Placebo's Are Just As Good and Much Less Expensive

I have been taking Biotivia Transmax 500 mg for 4 months plus now. I have not missed a day. I feel no different at all, not more youthfull, not more youthfull looking, not more energetic, my arthritis feels no deifferent, no change at all. At about $60 per bottle of 60, I have spent $240. I do not understand other peoples reviews, probably the placebo effect. Therefore, a placebo at 1/240th the cost might be your best bet. "There is a sucker born every minute", J. C. Fields. Don't be one of them.

This is an excellent brand of resveratrol. I, only, take one a day, but I, strongly, suggest taking 500 mg. I believe that it has been the chief deterrent for the herpes on my neck. I have been taking it for over a year, and I haven't had an out-break since I started. That is wonderful!!!

I wanted to like this product. I really did. I heard about the health benefits of resveratrol all over the internet, so I ordered this from online since it seems to be a pretty reliable brand. The first time I took the pill, I took one pill in mid-morning with food each day. However, by the third day I woke up with a slight cough and sore throat. I stopped, and the next day my flu-like symptoms went away. I wanted to give this product the benefit of doubt, so I waited another month and tried again. Again, I felt like I was breathing like I was sick by the third morning of taking this pill. I stopped again and the symptoms went away. I tried it ONE MORE time in the past few days, and the same thing happened again. I don't know what is wrong, but maybe I have allergies to this pill? I don't think I experienced any of the appetite suppressing, metabolism boosting, and energy giving effects of the pill. Whatever the case may be, I was sorely disappointed by this product and will not order again.

Very Pleased With This Product!

Conflicting reviews got me nervous, so I ordered the smaller quantity (60 Vcaps), and just finished the first bottle. I'm happy with it and ordering 120 Vcaps which is an even better deal. First, it's got a high dose of resveratrol (200mg) -- contrary to what detractors claim. Second, it's got no side effect other than the darker yellow urine. (I take it before I go to bed.) Third, it's improved my vision as I had hoped for. I have had vision problems due to glaucoma. My vision is sharper and clearer now. I now need less strong prescription for daily chores including driving. Yes, it does smell kinda funny, but not unbearable. Overall, I feel better, but I don't know whether it's attributable to this product or my regular exercise.

Shipping for 2 bottles was higher than it should have been

Seems okay, potency is fine... but the smell is awful!

I ordered this because I've been taking a more expensive kind of resveratrol and like NOW brand vitamins so thought this would be a good alternative. I think it is a good product and I'm not sure where the person saying it is only 10 mg of trans-resveratrol is getting their info because that isn't anywhere on the bottle nor indicated from the process used to create the supplement, and I think that the research on resveratrol in mouse models is very promising and worth taking, BUT...This stuff smells AWFUL!!! I know it is made from the Japanese knotweed which is not the most aromatic plant, but other brands I've tried from the same source didn't smell like this. It often makes me gag to take it. I think I'll spend the extra money to try to get something that doesn't make me ill to take it next time.

Company doesn't follow policy!

Warning to all who are even thinking about purchasing this product....unless you want to just throw your money away! This company promises a RISK-FREE trial. LIE! After not noticing any difference in how I felt or how it worked, I called within the 15 day trial and sent them back the unused portion and they said, "Be assured that you will receive your money back within 10-15 business days. If you have not give us a call back." I did not. I called back and asked to speak to managers, the refund department (to no avail), anyone that could give me a different answer....and EVERY one of the representatives kept reading me the exact same phrase!!! It was soooo annoying!!! I spent my time and money on a product and company that I would not recommend to ANYONE! BUYER BEWARE!!!

NOW Foods produces the best supplements (in my humble opinion), for a reasonable price. I've been using their supplements for YEARS, and have been very, very satisfied with each purchase. For those who question this brand's superiority, I suggest that you go to their website ([...]), and read about their GMP Certification. This certification designates that vitamins and supplements meet every stringent requirement regarding the manufacturing process of testing, chemical identity, and potency testing (link is below, fyi). People, you really should RESEARCH before posting something derogatory. Amazon has wrong photos for products.

I have just found out something very important. Amazon has the wrong photo for the 50 mg. Last night I bought 200 mg by the photo shown and the email today says your 50 mg is on the way. I called Swanson Health Products directly ( They also have a website) Yes the Now brand makes a 50mg and a 200mg. Swanson sells the 200mg for [...]. I love the NOW brand Resveratrol. Amazon, amazon you have the wrong photo for the 50mg it is showing 200mg. Go to Swanson Health Products and buy the NOW brand. Best one on the market for the money. Research the NOW brand they are very well respected. I'm out.Check out the "NOW" brand website . I'm shocked that this brand is getting such a low rating. The company has been around since 1968. I've been using it for 3 months since GNC turned me on to it. Most do not take it long enough. In 2 to 3 weeks your cravings for food will be shut down. For me it will be the "NOW" brand, when I started I was at 260, now I'm at 235 3 months later at the age of 39. Also I need to state that it was done with a running schedule I slowly got into. At this time I'm running 3 miles a day Monday- Friday ( Brooks- running shoes only) If you get a chance watch the "Doc" Bigger, Faster, Stronger it will blow your mind on how they can pass anything over to sell without FDA overview.

200 mg trans-resveratrol as promised...slow down and READ, critics!

I just CALLED Now Foods and spoke to a representative who confirmed that this product DOES CONTAIN 200 mg of trans-resveratrol. They are unlikely to lie given that this company meets the FDA's Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines for supplements--they would lose a lot of customers if they misrepresented their products and lost this certification. THe GMP certification logo is the green triangle on the bottom right of the label.The vast majority of the resveratrol in this product is from the 400 mg of Japanese Knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum) in each capsule, NOT the grapeseed extract. I mention this because most of the negative reviewers out there probably saw that this product contains 10 mg of grapeseed extract, then assumed that's where the resveratrol was coming from. Nevertheless, you can even wiki "polygonum cuspidatum" and see that it's a great source of resveratrol!As for the amount cis-resveratrol found in the product, here is a statement from Now Foods: "The Resveratrol used in NOW Foods Pometrol V-capsules comes from Polygonum cuspidatum root extract and DOES NOT exhibit any HPLC detectable amounts of cis-isomer."A link to info about their product quality: [..]

Not worth the money

I received this product and found it contained 10mg of actual resveratrol...I returned it and went elsewhere. I a very disappointed in NOW for putting out such a low quality product.

Intense muscle cramping may accompany increased energy!!!

I requested a free sample of Resveratrol Ultra (which turned out to be an unannounced $88 monthly auto ship that I had to fight to get stopped). Taking 2 capsules I definitely had more energy. After 8 days I also had relentless leg and foot cramps, which I initially blamed on my aerobics class. Then I had 4 days of severe abdominal cramping (like I should be running to the bathroom, but diarrhea was not part of the problem). Then a friend noted "Didn't all this start about a week after you started taking that new wine-pill stuff?" So, I cut the dose to 1 daily & the intensity of cramping lessened significantly. Then I decreased to taking 1 every 3 days. No more cramping. I am still taking half a capsule (I open it and sprinkle on scrambled egg bite...not a noticable taste) and I feel I have the energy boost, without feeling hyper and certainly without the cramps. I purchased these presumably lower-intensity Resveratrol from Amazon/Now Foods, hoping they will be just about right in the dose. I am writing the review on the Resveratrol Ultra because I want to warn others that the product can cause some interesting side-effects...and rather than wasting time wondering if you are having mini-strokes or developing some fringe neurological disease, you should probably cut or eliminate your use of Resveratrol.

I tried this product after trying other resveratrol supplements. After doing a lot of research, I learned that the best way to take resveratrol supplements is to use buccal delivery so that they get absorbed through the mouth without swallowing. The problem is that most supplements are pills or capsules that you have to swallow, and then they get digested and you end up eliminating all of it. I love the flavor and the fact that it melts in your mouth very quickly. It's also a great value for the price. I highly recommend it. In their website [...] you can get a 6 month bundle for about 17 bucks per box.
